Aeronautics at Kent State: Prepare for Take Off

    Designed for students exploring aeronautics and aviation programs, this session covers professional pilot, aeronautical studies, air traffic and airspace management, and aviation management. The session also explains the integration of unmanned aircraft systems across programs.

    This 90-minute session provides an overview of the College of Aeronautics and Engineering and a clear look at each aeronautics major, including what students study, how flight, simulation and lab-based courses work, and the types of careers graduates pursue. You will also learn about special admission requirements and how high school students can prepare academically.

    Following the session, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center at the Kent State University Airport. The airport is located at 4020 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224, approximately 15 minutes from the Kent Campus. Transportation to the airport is not provided.
